Ion beamer

Ion beamers were medical devices that generated electromagnetic impulses able to disrupt the nervous system.^[1]

Ion beamers were used by medical units of the Corellian Defense Force. Some time after the Battle of Yavin, a bunch of smugglers stole a crate of ion beamers from the CDF Mobile Medical Unit 4-077 during a training exercise.^[2]

Notable users of ion beamers were the Ssi-ruuk who improved the technology to use it as a weapon.^[1] The ion paddle beamer was the primary hand weapon of the Ssi-ruuk. Although it could be lethal at short range, the Ssi-ruuk mainly used this weapon to neutralized ans stun their enemies for further entechment.^[3]
