The Inner Kuat Transfer Zone, also referred to as the Inner Kuat Traffic Zone, was an area of space surrounding the Kuat system. Since commercial and passenger starships were not allowed into the Kuat system proper, all traffic was required to stop at one of the three immense space stations located in the Inner Kuat Transfer Zone. The Kuat Passenger Port was responsible for all passenger traffic, the Kuat Freight Port handled cargo, and the Imperial Transfer Post was restricted to Imperial vessels.
