"Hidden in a copse of dense trees, I found this particular site after falling down a steep hill, crashing face first into the small river below. Interestingly enough, this site seems fairly new. I can't imagine an assignment that would send Imperial officers to such an uncharted area. The minimal amount of damage indicates that the creatures responsible were small."
―Excerpt from Tinrilo x'Rilsam's log[2]

An Imperial survey camp was established in an uncharted area of the Forest moon of Endor during the Galactic Civil War. Around the time of the Battle of Yavin, not long after the camp was set up, the Imperial survey party was attacked by small creatures. Imperial scouts were forced to flee the camp,[2] leaving the corpse of one of them behind them.[1] A short time later, the explorer Tinrilo x'Rilsam discovered the abandoned camp while exploring Endor. After studying the damages, he concluded that the Imperial survey party might have been attacked by Ewoks.[2]

Behind the scenes

The Imperial survey camp was a location in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[3] The Imperial survey camp was one of many unmarked points of interests on the moon Endor.[1] Following the release of the Star Wars Galaxies: Jump to Lightspeed expansion pack in 2004, rare data storage unit devices could sometimes be looted during space battles. One such data storage item, named "an Explorer's Log (7/8)," contained a detailed backstory for the Imperial survey party.[2]
