Imperial hazardous environment protective armor, also known as Imperial Hazard Trooper Armor or hazard trooper armor, was one of the most rugged stormtrooper armor variants within the Imperial Stormtrooper Corps worn by the Empire's hazard stormtroopers. The armor utilized a powered armor frame similar to that of spacetrooper armor, and augmented the strength of the wearer and provided protection against radiation, acids and toxic chemicals, and extreme pressures or vacuums. Movement in the armor was sluggish as a result of its bulk, but a neural interface with the wearer's cybernetics reduced response time to a minimum, which ensured that marksmanship was unimpeded by the armor.[1]
Although manufactured by the Empire's military research organization for its exclusive use, hazard trooper armor was often stolen by the Alliance to Restore the Republic[1] and even the private sector.[2]
