The Imperial ambunaut was an ambulance speeder used by the Galactic Empire to smoothly transport medical patients.[1] In 1 BBY, Axis leader Luthen Rael was taken to the Lina Soh Hospital on board of one such transport, after the raid on his gallery resulted in him attempting suicide.[2]
Characteristics
Appearing similar to many similar small transports, Imperial ambunauts were emergency medspeeders equipped with stabiling technology that allowed for a smooth ride as well as a piercing siren loud enough to cut through the cacophony of Coruscant traffic.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Imperial ambernaut first appeared in "Make It Stop," the tenth episode of the live-action Disney+ series Andor's second season.[2] It was later identified in its StarWars.com Databank entry.[1] The ambulance was a revamp of Andor season one's Pre-Mor security service's Mobile Tac-Pod vehicle.[3]
