The Imperial Tactical Manual was a manual that contained tactics used by the Galactic Empire. At some point, the Duros pilot L'ulo L'ampar read the manual and became familiar with Imperial tactics. According to the manual, in an instance where the Empire outnumbered an enemy, it was to gang up on the opposition ships individually.[1] In 3 ABY,[2] when the Rebel Alliance's Starlight Squadron was caught in an ambush near Felucia[3] by the forces of Imperial Commander Ellian Zahra, L'ampar noted the TIE fighters were not following the tactics laid out in the manual for when Imperial forces outnumbered its enemy. L'ampar then stated he felt that the Imperial forces were herding the rebels as they were ensuring that the rebels did not escape.[1]
