Imperial Senate bill 1979 was a piece of legislation in the Imperial Senate that proposed granting droids the right to vote. Imperial Senator Jar Jar Binks pondered on whether to vote for or against the proposition.[1]

Behind the scenes

Imperial Senate bill 1979 was introduced in a Facebook post on November 2012 for the Star Wars Detours page. The page has since then been taken down[1] in lieu of Detours's postponement after the Disney acquisition of Lucasfilm.[2]
