- "I could find the Lost Citadel of Garn! Restore the Knights of the Ordu Aspectu! They could bring light to this dark galaxy!"
"Uh-huh. I bet they'll help us pay the Imperial Peace Tax and stop the tooka from crapping on the carpet too." - ―Korin and Lona Aphra
The Imperial Peace Tax was a tax paid by subjects of the Galactic Empire during its reign.[1] In 18 BBY,[2] the human man Korin Aphra was doing research about the Ordu Aspectu[1]—a splinter group of the Jedi Order[3] he was obsessed with—and suggested to his[1] wife[3] Lona Aphra that he could find a way to restore them. In response, Lona sarcastically remarked to[1] her[3] husband that if the group were restored, the Ordu Aspectu could help them pay their Imperial Peace Tax.[1]

The Imperial Peace Tax was mentioned in flashbacks in the thirty-second issue of the 2016 comic series Star Wars: Doctor Aphra. The issue was written by Simon Spurrier and published by Marvel Comics[1] on May 8, 2019.[4]

Doctor Aphra (2016) 32 also establishes the two lived on Arbiflux for two years before Lona was killed. As Star Wars: Timelines dates Lona's passing to 16 BBY, the flashback scene on the Second Moon of Thrinittik must take place in 18 BBY.
