The Imperial News Network was the public service news agency that operated under the Imperial Remnant sometime in 44 ABY. As part of the transition from a oligarchy into a full democracy, the agency was independence from any and all forms of government censorship and charged with the oversight of all the activities of both the Head of State and the Council of Moffs.
History
As the Council of Moffs transitioned power to a fully into democratic system, with an election was held in 44 ABY for a fully elected Head of State, Jagged Fel signed a charter which gave a massive endowment to the INN which allowed it to continue its operations for centuries while also granting it independence from any and all forms of government censorship. The INN was then charged to keep an eye on all the activities of both the Head of State and the Moffs so as to insure the swift reforms in the Imperial Remnant.[1]
