The Imperial Laundry was a laundromat located aboard the Imperial I-class Star Destroyer Devastator. It consisted of an array of washing machines and was used to wash the clothing of Imperial personell stationed on the ship.[1]

History

In 1 BBY,[2] the Galactic Empire, under the command of Darth Vader, used the Imperial I-class Star Destroyer Devastator to attack the Rebel Alliance corvette Tantive IV. While fighting with Rebel forces, Vader slipped and fell into a puddle of yellow liquid, after which he proceeded to go to the Imperial Laundry to wash his dirty clothes. During the battle, Princess Leia Organa, who was fighting for the Rebel Alliance, disguised herself as an Imperial Stormtrooper. A commander then ordered her to go to the laundry to help Darth Vader. When she arrived there, Vader told her to hold his lightsaber while he put on his cape. After he finished getting dressed, the Sith Lord went back outside to go find the secret plans that the Rebels were hiding.[1]
