The Imperial Correction Service was an organization that served the Galactic Empire to supervise and correct imperfections in certain Imperial regions. It was responsible for overseeing all prisons and correctional facilities throughout the galaxy. The agency was headed by the Minister of Corrections. There were also Regional Directors that were a part of this organization.
In 1 BBY, the Imperial Correction Service prison barge Purge became infected with a deadly virus while en route to the detainment moon Gradient Seven, killing almost all of the crew and inmates.
