The Imperial Badge of Merit was an Imperial badge awarded to individuals who accomplished several important tasks.
One such badge was awarded to an Imperial-aligned spacer stationed at the Emperor's Retreat on Naboo in 1 ABY after carrying out several high-profile missions, including falsifying "evidence" to act as blackmail against the reigning Queen of Naboo to force her to give up a Rebel General under the orders of Emperor Palpatine, and completing inquiries for Darth Vader.
Behind the scenes
The Imperial Badge of Merit appeared in the video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony and published by LucasArts, prior to its closure on December 15, 2011. It was awarded for completing the Imperial Themepark missions.
