Immobilizing insect biot

The title of this article is conjectural. Although this article is based on canonical information, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

This was a form of biotechnology or nanotechnology utilized by Darshi warriors. They appeared to be a swam of insects but on making contact with a victim, they burst into a smooth gray liquid that instantly solidified into solid gray stone, immobilizing the target.  Darth Vader was completely unfamiliar with the weapon when attacked with it with Thrawn on Batuu, and speculated that it was bioengineering, acid or even small droids.^[1]
