- Cha: "You know how I called our group the Orphans? It's not just to sound tough."
- Ladybright: "Of course not. It is literal. I am the last of my factory line. Sear's parents died long ago. Imara Vex is—"
- Vex: "My parents technically could be alive, but I haven't seen them since I was too young to remember."
- ―Chanath Cha, Ladybright, and Imara Vex discuss the naming of the Orphans[1]
At least two individuals were the parents of the human[1] female[2] Imara Vex. At some point, when the girl was too young to remember,[1] she[2] saw her parents for the last time.[1] By the time between 3 ABY and 4 ABY,[3] Vex had become a member of the Orphans[1]—a group of warriors[4] led by[1] the bounty hunter[5] Chanath Cha.[1] During this time,[3] the team discussed the meaning behind their name. As the droid Ladybright began to talk about Vex, they were interrupted by the woman who told the team about the last time she had seen her parents and that it was possible they were still alive.[1]
Behind the scenes
The parents of Imara Vex were mentioned in the first issue of the 2021 comic miniseries Star Wars: Crimson Reign. The issue was written by Charles Soule and published by Marvel Comics[1] on December 8, 2021.[6]
