Ijol was a gas giant with twenty-four moons. The planet was fourth in orbit around the Tirahnn sun. Ijol resided in the Tirahnn system of the Zeemacht Cluster[3] in the Inner Rim.[1] The Tirahnn system, and therefore Ijol, lay along the Perlemian Trade Route hyperlane. By 17,000 BBY, Ijol's system also resided along a hyperspace route that ceased to exist by 3976 BBY.[4]
Behind the scenes
Ijol was introduced in "Triplet Threat," a roleplaying mini-adventure written by Jason Fry for use with Wizards of the Coast's Star Wars Roleplaying Game and published on Wizards.com on January 22, 2004.[3] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas subsequently placed the Tirahnn system, and therefore Ijol, in grid square N-8.[1]

- ↑ Per The Essential Guide to Warfare, by approximately 17,000 BBY the Tirahnn system, and therefore Ijol, was on a hyperspace route that The Essential Atlas shows linked it to the Filordis and Ktil systems. Per The Essential Atlas, that route had ceased to exist by 3976 BBY.
