Igniter was an ancient, masculine-programmed[1] mining droid[2] who served the Hutts on Mataou. He was modified with an experimental Imperial combat design, causing him to be an effective fighter with slight insanity. During the Iron Blockade of the Anoat sector, Igniter joined the crew of a young smuggler.[1]

Igniter was created for Star Wars: Uprising, a mobile game released in 2015. He is one of the many crew members that can be used on Crew Runs to collect helpful items.[1] Igniter was originally depicted in promotional material Igniter with blue plating and STALKER-1 with gold, corresponding with their initial in-game avatar. The character models however depicted Igniter with gold plating and STALKER-1 with blue. This unintentional error was resolved in a game update, correcting the avatar to match the model.[1][3]
