IT-O, also known as Eyetee-Oh, was an IT-O interrogation droid in service to the Galactic Empire. The droid was employed as an interrogator for prisoners[1] held aboard the first Death Star.[3] IT-O was equipped with probes and needles,[1] including a hypo that administered the truth serum Bavo Six.[2] The droid would perform "surgery" on prisoners, and its sensors were capable of analyzing and determining the pain threshold of its subject and the truthfulness of their answers.[1] IT-O was responsible for the interrogation of Princess Leia Organa after her capture from the Tantive IV.[3]
