The IT-000 interrogator droid[4] was a next generation interrogator droid used by the First Order. A corruption of medical droid tech,[2] it harked back to an earlier model used by the Galactic Empire,[6] and was created in violation of the anti-torture laws enacted by the New Republic.[2] The droids were equipped with both the ability to speak and record the responses of its victims, thus allowing the unit to work without supervision.[7] An IT-000 designated IT-000-XZ 1594[8] was used by Kylo Ren when he began his interview with the enemy pilot Poe Dameron above the planet Jakku.[6]
