The IRAPS cerebral stabilizer, nicknamed "Brain cage", was a device produced by Chiewab Amalgamated Pharmaceuticals Company during the Galactic Civil War and cost 2,200 credits.It preserved the vitality of the central nervous system in critically injured patients. Consisting of a full face helmet with IV lines injected into the neck, it injected a hyper-oxygenated nutrient solution in the patient's brain to provide metabolic stabilization and its thermal circuits in the helmet would reduce cranial temperature. It could bring sentients back from what is known as brain death.[1]
