The IR-9X Replicator Droid was a model of humanoid battle droid used by the Shroud, a freelance spy active during the Galactic War. IR-9X Replicators were capable of generating sophisticated holograms over their frames, allowing for highly-effective disguises, and a number of them were stored at the Shroud's factory on the moon Nar Shaddaa.[1]
Behind the scenes
IR-9X Replicator Droids appear as enemies in the final macrobinoculars mission—"The Shroud Revealed" for Republic players and "All the Pieces" for Imperials— in Rise of the Hutt Cartel, the first Digital Expansion for the video game Star Wars: The Old Republic. Replicator Droids will adopt the appearances of major characters from the participating players' class stories.[1]
