IR-77 was an advanced battle droid deployed by the intergalactic spymaster known as the Shroud to protect his interests across the galaxy. In 3638 BBY, IR-77 was repeatedly deployed on numerous worlds to attack an enemy of the Shroud who was investigating the Shroud's relay network, but the droid was destroyed after trying to thwart an attempt on the life of Maki'voro on Nar Shaddaa.
