The IR-52 Airborne Assault Droid was a model of bipedal battle droid used by the the Shroud, a freelance spy active during the Galactic War. The IR-52 was designed for aerial combat environments, and had built-in rockets.[1]

IR-52 Airborne Assault Droids appear as enemies in the missions "Dark Design" and "All the Pieces," which are the Republic and Imperial versions of a mission in the macrobinoculars mission in Rise of the Hutt Cartel, the first Digital Expansion for the video game Star Wars: The Old Republic.[1]
