The IM-A-761 oceanic garrison, also known as The Blackfathom was a relatively new line of Imperial garrisons specializing in planets with wide oceans created by Rothana Heavy Engineering.[1]
Characteristics
A Blackfathom lacked the underground levels due to it being aquatic based, but it compensated for this with several powerful repulsorlifts to keep it afloat, even during the heaviest waves. In addition, it was equipped with underwater hangar bays. The contingent included seatroopers, repulsor-subs[1] and AT-AT swimmers.[2] It is implied that the repulsorlifts ability to withstand heavy waves was the result of an incident on Shaum Hii that caused a NewsNet frenzy.[1]
