Hyperspace collapse

A hyperspace collapse was a hyperspatial phenomenon that referred to a momentary collapse of a hyperlane. Hyperspace routes in the Deep Core were known to collapse without warning. A starship traveling along the hyperspace corridor during the nanosecond before it re-formed would be lost forever.^[1]
