- "Seven hypernodes, three new power converters, wiring for the flight computer."
"Wow, that's a lot of parts." - ―Jarek Yeager and Torra Doza
A hypernode was a starship component. In 34 ABY, the racer Kazuda Xiono was told by his boss, Jarek Yeager, that he would need seven hypernodes to repair the racing starfighter Fireball. Alongside the mechanic Neeku Vozo, Xiono visited the Office of Acquisitions to acquire the needed materials. Though the shop's proprietors Flix and Orka refused to give him the parts if he could not pay, they eventually gave him some second-hand materials in exchange for a gorg for lunch. Hypernodes were also listed on materials lists stored on datapads kept by the mechanic Tamara Ryvora and the Office of Acquisitions.
Description
A hypernode was a starship component that could be used to repair racing starfighters.[1]
History
- "Seven hypernodes, three new power converters…"
- ―Flix speaking to himself, as he gathered parts for Kazuda Xiono and Neeku Vozo
Jarek Yeager informed Kazua Xiono which parts he would need to fix the Fireball, which included seven hypernodes.
While in Jarek Yeager's Repair Station on the supertanker fuel depot Colossus[1] in 34 ABY,[2] the mechanic Jarek Yeager informed his employee, the racer Kazuda Xiono, that he would need seven hypernodes to fix the racing starfighter Fireball so that it could be flown. As Yeager continued reading from his datapad, listing additional parts needed for the endeavor, Xiono's enthusiasm at the prospect waned. The racer Torra Doza, who was visiting the repair station, expressed her surprise at the amount of materials needed to repair the Fireball.[1]
Afterward, Xiono and the mechanic Neeku Vozo visited the Colossus's Office of Acquisitions to acquire the needed parts, including the seven hypernodes, and the shop's proprietors—Flix and Orka—began gathering them from around the store. However, they abruptly stopped when Xiono mentioned he could not pay for the items. Ultimately, as a favor, the pair gave Xiono and Vozo an assortment of second-hand parts in exchange for bringing them a gorg for lunch. Afterward, the pair kept the gorg as a pet because they had already eaten. Xiono and Vozo then used the parts to repair the Fireball.[1]
Later that year,[3] the mechanic Tamara Ryvora worked to repair the Fireball.[4] She[1] kept a list of parts on her datapad notated in the Aurebesh writing system, which called for three hypernodes. Another datapad used to document the Office of Acquisitions' inventory also listed three hypernodes.[4]
