Hyperion was a celestial body that was the homeworld of the Mouse Jedi Mickey Mouse.[1]

The character key mentioning Hyperion

Hyperion was first mentioned in 2008, in the Acme character key of the non-canonical character Jedi Mickey.[1] In real life, Hyperion is a small moon of the planet Saturn.[2]

It is also a reference to 2719 Hyperion Avenue, the original Burbank, California address for the Walt Disney Studios in the 1920s and 1930s, when Mickey Mouse and much of his supporting cast were created.[3] Disney has used the Hyperion name in various places since in homage to the old studio location, such as their Hyperion Books publishing division and Hyperion renderer software.[4]
