Hydroponics stations,[1] also known as agridomes,[2] were used to grow fruits and vegetables.[3] Common on the planet Tatooine,[1] they were often located underground and made efficient use of water to irrigate the crops. Hydroponics stations were often used by moisture farmers to feed their families, with any excess produce being sold at markets.[3] Moisture farmers who sold produce did so as a side business, generating credits to buy supplies and the occasional luxury. Some moisture farmers found that growing food was a more profitable business than water production.[2]
