Hydraatis

The hydraatis was a plant native to the planet Dathomir. It grew in dry and rocky regions, filtering the air through filaments which trapped dust and bacteria. Once filtered, the filaments contracted to lock clean air inside, thus creating a humid environment where the hydraatis could absorb the small amount of water it needed to survive. The acids of the plant were used to burn Dathomirian Glyphs into Dathomir's rocks.^[1]

In 14 BBY,^[2] Cal Kestis ecountered multiple hydraatis plants during his mission on the planet.^[1]
