The Hovan system was a star system located in the Mid Rim's Senex sector. It contained the moon Hovan 99.

The system's asteroids are subject to rivalry and conflict between sanctioned and renegade mining teams, as well as frigates belonging to House Garonnin. The asteroids are a last refuge for those wanted by the authorities of the Juvex and Senex sectors.[3]
