Hornagaunts were furred, multi-stomached creatures with wings that were often clipped when domesticated. They were native to Tertiary Kesmere. Their personalities were marked by an inherent aggressiveness which made them dangerous but useful as pets. One hornaguant called Grendel was kept by the droid information-broker 8t88.
Hornagaunts had a monstrous appearance had acute smelling and produced growling or purring sounds, either to express pleasure, or alertness. They have an underthrust jaw and big eye-lids. At least some had glowing red eyes. When in comfort, or in inquiring mood, they struck their stubby tail on the ground.[1]
