"Nothing like a peaceful day in Narmle. This is the perfect place to have retired to…ah, who am I kidding. I miss Corellia."
―Horace Korr, to a spacer[1]

Horace Korr was a Human male reporter who lived prior and during the time of the Galactic Civil War.

Biography

"Horace Korr was a reporter for the Corellia Times back during the kidnapping and he covered it in the news."
Wernell Covington, to a spacer[1]

During the last decade of the Old Republic,[2] Horace Korr worked for the Corellia Times on the planet Corellia as a reporter. At some point during that decade, Korr traveled to Naboo's moon of Rori to cover the investigation about the kidnapping and murder of Wernell Covington's daughter, Felicia.[1]

Almost three decades later,[2] by the time of the Battle of Yavin in 0 BBY, Horace Korr had retired to Narmle, a city on Rori.[1] In 1 ABY,[3] he was contacted by Wernell Covington who was seeking to avenge his daughter. The Covington knew that two of the kidnappers had escaped justice during all those years but he ignored their identity. The reporter agreed with helping the old man, even if he did not completely approve Covington's bloody thirst for revenge. Horace Korr therefore worked with a spacer recruited by Covington. The reporter first requested the spacer to visit the Corellia Times News archive in Coronet, on Corellia. Korr then tasked the spacer to find his original notes on the crime in an old warehouse near the Narmle Starport that was overran by thugs. With those information, Horace Korr was able to identify the last escaped kidnappers: Jurgen Nath and Vladlun Travan. The spacer eventually killed them both.[1]

  3. The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
