Hoof fungus was a disease that could affect pack animals such as yubals. It constituted fungal growth on the hooves of the affected animals' feet.^[1]

Lakjiip smiled widely at her recognition, at which point Lakphro mused that everyone in the district also knows about hoof fungus, so his remark wasn't necessarily a compliment.^[1]
