Homing sensors were guidance systems used in projectiles such as proton torpedoes and concussion missiles. Located at the tip of the missiles, the homing sensor guiding the weapon to its target. Homing sensors were effective against stationary and slow-moving targets, and normally had a margin of error of less that three meters. However, fast-moving vessels could outrun or outmaneuver the missile, making the homing sensors particularly good at targeting capital ships and bombing runs.[1]
