The holonet entertainment system was a system that could be installed aboard pre-Republic Tythan ships. Such a system was heavy enough to have an impact on the craft's net weight. At some point prior to 25,793 BBY, Je'daii Ranger Lanoree Brock replaced the holonet system on her Peacemaker-class cruiser with an older flatscreen which doubled as communications center.[1]
Millennia later, the Republic developed a near-instantaneous trans-galactic communications network also called the HoloNet.
