The Highport Stevedore Guild was an organization of dock workers in the[1] major spaceport known as Highport in the Upper City[2] of the planet Taris. Active during the era of the Mandalorian Wars, the Guild had clandestine business ties with local hood Marn Hierogryph. The arrangement between the Guild and Hierogryph meant that when there was a work overflow on the docks, Hierogryph's team of bulk-loader droids would be called in to do Hierogryph's bidding—in one case, the droids took a large quantity of lum ale from a freighter bound for the planet Coruscant to be resold on the black market, replacing the cargo with a thousand kegs of local sewage.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Highport Stevedore Guild was mentioned in the first issue of the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic comic-book series. The issue was written by John Jackson Miller and released by Dark Horse Comics[1] on January 25, 2006.[3]
