- "Clues left by the keepers of this site tell us it is a grave, belonging to some of the first settlers of Tatooine. Small graves surround a center stone which we believe may house the remains of the leader. Much is unknown about this place.. Unfortunately, any evidence left from history, save from the small carvings in the rocks, has been stolen long ago and only tall stones remain as a testament to their glory and achievements."
- ―Excerpt from Tinrilo x'Rilsam's log
The Hero's Grave was a graveyard located on the Outer Rim planet Tatooine. The grave was thought to hold the remains of some of the first settlers of Tatooine. The site consisted of several small graves,[3] forming a circle of stones, that surrounded a bigger center stone[2] which might house the corpse of the leader.[3] Thousands of years later,[1] during the Galactic Civil War, an explorer by the name of Tinrilo x'Rilsam traveled to the grave. Unfortunately, he was not able to find any information about the people buried there since the site was plundered long ago.[3]
Behind the scenes
The Hero's Grave was a location in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[2] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[4] The Hero's Grave was one of many unmarked points of interests on the planet Tatooine.[2] Following the release of the Star Wars Galaxies: Jump to Lightspeed expansion pack in 2004, rare data storage unit devices could sometimes be looted during space battles. One such data storage item, named "an Explorer's Log (1/8)," contained a detailed backstory for the Hero's Grave.[3]
