Hella Thimram was a member of a wealthy noble family from the planet Chandrila.[1] She was known as a bold-speaking, hands-on leader who served as the CEO of ChandrilTech during the Galactic Civil War. She had taken over the position from her grandfather and led the company for over a decade, earning widespread respect across Chandrila. Her practical leadership style and sharp business acumen made her a popular figure among the planet’s citizens, who considered her a symbol of Chandrilan pride.[2]
When a Chandrilian Senator Mon Mothma became associated with the Alliance to Restore the Republic, many Chandrilians encouraged Thimram to run for the now-vacant Senate seat. Despite significant public support, she declined the nomination. Instead, Canna Omonda was elected. Following Omonda’s execution for treason by the Empire, Thimram’s eldest son, Savuud, replaced her on the position of Senator – largely propelled by the enduring strength of his mother’s reputation.[2]
