The WLO-5 speeder tank was classified as a heavy repulsortank
- "But you know what I always say: Speak softly and drive a big tank."
- ―Hondo Ohnaka, on the WLO-5 speeder tank
A heavy repulsortank was a classification of repulsortank used by the Imperial Army. Equipped with the toughest armor and most powerful weapons available, heavy repulsortanks were generally considered to be a squad-level unit for deployment purposes. Their firepower rivalled that of stationary artillery pieces, and they could take an enormous amount of punishment from other heavy assault vehicles.[2]
The Imperial Army employed several variants of heavy repulsortanks, including the Gorm•Talquist S-1 FireHawke Heavy Repulsortank,[3] the Ubrikkian Industries Imperial Repulsortank 1-H,[2] and a model employed on Edan II.[4] Equipped with the same Taim & Bak MS-1 fire-linked heavy laser cannon as the later Imperial All Terrain Armored Transport, the Ubrikkian Ord Pedrovia WLO-5 speeder tank was also classified as a heavy repulsortank.[5]
