Harlan was a young female Force-sensitive alive around 11 ABY. She was once attacked by an alien that could control the dark side of the Force. The alien tried to use telekinesis against Harlan, who defended herself using a skill known as Force of Will. On another occasion, Harlan fought a non–Force-sensitive guard and tired to use Force lightning to strike the guard in the head.[1]
Behind the scenes
Harlan appears in The Jedi Academy Sourcebook as an example to illustrate how to use two Force powers in dice rolls. Some fans speculated that Harlan could be an in-universe character and a member of the New Jedi Order depicted in this West End Games roleplaying sourcebook. When asked about this idea on the StarWars.com Message Boards, Leland Chee stated "I don't believe she was intended to be an actual in-universe character."[2]
