Hardfrost Base was the Hoth-based headquarters of the pirate Salmakk. After a run-in with Luke Skywalker and Han Solo, the base was heavily damaged and promptly abandoned by the pirate crew. What remained of Hardfrost was used by the Rebel Alliance to help construct Echo Base.
