The Hapan puzzle box was a gift given with the intent of confusing the recipient. Containing a small surprise, or sometimes nothing, what was in the box could range from a precious stone to a small bomb. The box itself was intricately-created, requiring a variety of skills to solve and open. While the number of steps to opening the box could be infinite, they were required to open the box.
