"When now we visit the Memorial to the Missing of Ghorman, the Graveyard at Alderaan, the Wroshyr Mural on Kashyyyk, or the Hall of the Unknown on Chandrila, among others, we must reflect upon the fact that so vast was the system of Imperial genocide that we may never know anything about the majority of those we lost except for the fact that they died."
―Beaumont Kin, The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire[1]

The Hall of the Unknown was a memorial on[1] the Core Worlds planet[2] Chandrila to those that were killed by the Galactic Empire during its reign, which included an Imperial Attack on Chandrila[1] in 5 ABY.[3] In 35 ABY,[4] the historian Beaumont Kin mentioned the hall alongside similar memorials in[1] his[5] book, The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, and pointed out that the Empire killed so many that no information remainded on many of the victims.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Hall of the Unknown was mentioned in the 2024 reference book Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, which was written by Dr. Chris Kempshall.[1]
