Hair gel was a product used to tame unruly hair. Five years after the establishment of the Galactic Empire, Imperial Ensign Baz used hair gel in preparation for an impromptu inspection by Governor Wilhuff Tarkin. When Tarkin spotted a stain on Baz's boot, the ensign tried to claim it was gel; however, Tarkin recognized it as lubricant from a T-44 landspeeder.^[1]
