"I went to university! I worked in a habacha shop! You think I should've picked up a gun and—" - ―A woman, to Soujen Vak-Nhalis
Habacha was a commodity that could be sold. By the time of the Clone Wars between the Confederacy of Independent Systems and the Galactic Republic[1] from 22 BBY to 19 BBY,[2] a habacha shop operated and employed a university student. Not long after the Republic's reorganization into the Galactic Empire[1] in 19 BBY,[2] the former Separatist operative Soujen Vak-Nhalis encountered the former habacha shop employee, antagonizing her during their conversation. The woman told Vak-Nhalis of her former occupation, taking offense that Val-Nhalis felt she should have taken up arms in the conflict instead.[1]
Behind the scenes
Habacha was mentioned in the 2025 novel Reign of the Empire: The Mask of Fear, written by Alexander Freed as the first installment of the Star Wars: Reign of the Empire trilogy.[1]
