The HA-5 Aerial Retreat was an unusual repulsorcraft that functioned more as a mobile dwelling than a traditional vehicle. Resembling a floating, square, three-story building, it relied on massive repulsorlift drives housed in the bottom level to remain airborne. The middle level contained amenities such as a galley, climate systems, and storage, while the top floor and open roof were reserved for daily life, offering quarters, a lounge with dejarik boards, a bar, and other luxuries. The interior could be easily reconfigured to include features like Net-ball courts or speeder garages.
Primarily used by vacationing tourists or wealthy nobles, the HA-5 also served as an ideal venue for diplomatic summits, offering both comfort and privacy. Though not stealthy, its unassuming purpose often prevented outside scrutiny. For this reason, the Rebellion occasionally held secret meetings aboard HA-5s owned by sympathetic individuals.[1]

The HA-5 aerial retreat was first mentioned in Desperate Allies, a roleplaying supplementary sourcebook for the Star Wars Roleplaying series that was published by Fantasy Flight Games in 2015.[1]
