Gulper (droid)

The Gulper was a circular type of rolling droid with two arms and black and blue plating. A Gulper guarded the[1] Abominor[2] Great Heep's mining operation on the planet Biitu[1] in 15 BBY.[3] After the protocol droid C-3PO escaped one of the operation's mines, a Gulper pursued the droid. C-3PO alerted the merchant Mungo Baobab that the Gulper was approaching their location, prompting Baobab to shoot water at the Gulper, which then rolled back into the mine.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Gulper appeared in The Great Heep, a TV special of the Nelvana animated series Star Wars: Droids which was first broadcast on June 7, 1986.[4]
