Group 5 was a squad operating during the Second Battle of Theed[1] in 32 BBY.[2] Once the battle ended, Security Chief Quarsh Panaka contacted group 5 via comlink and requested the squad's location if they needed medical attention.[1]
Behind the scenes
Group 5 is mentioned in Act III of Peril on Naboo, an adventure within the Wizards of the Coast sourcebook, Secrets of Naboo, published in 2001. The only mention occurs in a dialogue box at the end of the adventure. It is one of four transmissions the players receive when their "comlink suddenly crackles with reports from all the Naboo units," including a transmission from Queen Padmé Amidala intended for the Jedi Qui-Gon Jinn, and a general invitation from Boss Rugor Nass to the Naboo about a party the Gungans are throwing. The adventure does not indicate a reply from the intended recipient of the group 5 message, which may or may not be the players' group.[1]
