The entrance of the great tree

The great tree was a massive inhabited wroshyr trees that made up the Wookiee city of Kachirho, on the planet Kashyyyk.[2] While the city encompassed other inhabited wroshyr trees,[3] and buildings on the ground level,[2] most of the settlement of Kachirho spiraled around the trunk of the 300-meter-tall great tree.[1]
During the Battle of Kashyyyk of the Clone Wars, the tall tree allowed the Wookiees to defend the lagoon area from above.[4]
Wookiees living in the great tree during the Galactic Civil War included Kymayrr, Chatook, Dr. Cheyerooto, Harwakokok and Ovarra. Several off-worlders, including Colonel Gurnst, Flash Harrison, Captain Koh, Fezrik Bendledon, Unluto, Belga Daeri and Mada Johnson, visited the tree after the Battle of Yavin.[2]
