The Great Hall was a structure within Bright Tree Village, an Ewok village[1] built in the trees of the forest moon of Endor.[2] During a particularly bleak winter on Endor, the Ewoks of the Bright Tree tribe cooked up a stew from a kublag they had captured and ate it in the Great Hall, although there was not nearly enough to fill the stomachs of the whole tribe.[1]

As they finished up their meals while sat on benches in the hall, the Ewoks Teebo and Wicket Wystri Warrick discussed the season's snow before they were interrupted by Warrick's brother Weechee and Princess Kneesaa a Jari Kintaka, who were clearing bowls from the hall's long tables. Weechee and Warrick argued until Warrick declared he would go hunting in the snow, at which point Chief Chirpa and the shaman Logray told them the tale of the mythical Kroolok in order to discourage the young Ewoks from leaving the village.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Great Hall appeared in "The Kroolok," a short story written by Cavan Scott and George Mann and published in the Life Day Treasury anthology in 2021.[1]
