The Gotal Pirates' Base was a large warship owned by the Gotal Bandits. After the Battle of Yavin, it was used parked near the edge of the Kashyyyk system and was used as a space station. It served as a command post for raids against civilian traffic in the Kashyyyk system. Its position provided a strong tactical advantage to the pirates.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Gotal Pirates' Base appeared in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[3] The Gotal Pirates' Base was added to the game with the release of the expansion pack Rage of the Wookiees on May 5, 2005.[1]
